How this tool works

Workshop volume (m³) = length (m) × width (m) × height (m). Size step (mm) = |machine diameter − hose cuff diameter|.

  • One machine at a time; no duct pressure-loss calculation.
  • Only like-for-like, confirmed airflow measurement bases can be compared.
  • All example values are illustrative, not product specifications.

Worked example

A 5 × 3 × 2.4 m room has a volume of 36 m³.

100 mm machine port (od) → 63 mm hose cuff (id). An adaptor with the appropriate 100 mm and 63 mm connections may be needed (37 mm nominal size step). Check mating inside/outside diameters, tolerances, locking fittings and the maker's instructions. Reducing a hose can restrict airflow.

These airflow figures cannot be compared: the measurement basis is different or unconfirmed. Maximum airflow is not the airflow delivered through your installed hose.

Illustrative inputs only; these are not product specifications or an installation recommendation.

Check the source data

Manufacturer extractor data (JSON) · Machine port data (JSON). Unknown measurements are left blank. A nominal connector size is not a confirmed inside or outside diameter.
